JD,

Did well thanks!

Sea States were 2-3 foot waves and a southerly wind.

Took forever to anchor up the reef. Finally did.

My dad and I were on the edge of the reef. Escambia County needs more reefs and wrecks in my opinion, the Gulf of Mexico is like a sandy desert for these fish and the reefs are like oasis.

Caught one under size Snapper and then we tied into two nice big red juicy ones at about 20 inches.

Boat ran so good! We were dry and comfortable.

Fished about 17 Miles south of Pensacola pass.

Two fellas in a 17 foot Key West were right smack on the reef and we could of threw bait at them. They were limited already. A dad and his two young sones around 5 and 8 were also with the dad.

He had as much trouble anchoring as every body else and when he was tied up his fishing was not good due to location. They caught nothing after 3 hours. And as he was pulling away... the guys in the Key West caught another snapper. Well they gave this fish to those two little boys and you want to talk about manners! I never heard so many "thank you mister"'s in my entire life. That was a pretty cool thing to do and made two life long sportsmen out of those little boys.

We ended up coming back in after 4 hours with only two Snapper due to the time we got out there. Boat sipped only 5 gallons the ENTIRE day!

We had Fish and Chips for dinner and all in all a GREAT WHALER Day!

We've been skiing mostly. I've had the 170 out a few other times, just riding.

Well, one of the boys is home from school. I've taken him skiing a couple of times this year. Some of it on a single ski. Friend of the family, an Air Force Officer, is in the area for training. Took him skiing last weekend for the first time. Athletic dude, up on two the first time. He tried the single ski and promptly broke the handle.

Knot, Sorry to hear you will miss the rendezvous in Biloxi.

Jim
