i have read that you should use dishwashing liquid to help pull wires thru the rigging tunnel. KY lubricating jelly, available at most drug stores works even better.

There is a type of lubricant specifically created for pulling wires through conduit, and you can buy it at home depot (and presumably at other electrical-supply stores). It quickly dries to a very fine, inconsequential powder. Other products like dish-soap leave more undesireable residue. I don't know what sort of residue K-Y leaves.
