I purchased my 2002 13 sport with the side rails only. I would like to add a bow rail and had a few quesitons. I have seen 2 kinds, a one piece and a two piece. Is it possible to remove the side rails and purchase the one piece bow rail from whaler and if so do the rear mountings match up. Anyone ever done this before on this model? What about the wood or whalerboard where the front rail mounts would go? Any advice is much appreciated.

Mark; if you do a lot of fishing you might want to think hard before putting that bow rail on. We really like having it but can see where just having side rails could be better for hardcore fishing. It's a tradeoff like most things but mostly we cruise and take the young ones kneeboarding so the bow rail works for us. Your situation may vary.
