I have a new to me '94 21'Outrage with a super leaning post that houses my live well. When I open the seacock and hit the switch for the pump I fill the livewell with no problem. If try to connect a hose and use the saltwater washdown connection the water pressure is minimal. I must be doing something wrong. Is there a valve that I need to turn? I must be missing something.
Thanks for any and all replies.

There should be hand valve that diverts the water from the livewell plumbing to the raw water hose connector plumbing and visa versa. The valve is probably near the pump.

On some models, the spray nozzle inside the livewell is the valve. Turn the nozzle clockwise and it will close, and shut off flow to the livewell diverting water to the hose outlet. BillS

You were right on the money..thanks. I reached in the livewell and sure enough I was able to turn the valve to create pressure to the wash down connection.

I have a 96 21' outrage with similar setup. Does anyone know where the pick-up is for the pump? Mine isn'tworking and I'm not sure if it is the pump or perhaps someting blocking the intake. Also, I didn't see a strainer anyhwhere inline. The guy I bought the boat from has replaced the Shur-flow pump several times and says they don't last long. Any recomenndations on a good replacement pump? Thanks

The raw water pickup on my 1997 is located port side aft. Access is from an inspection plate in the rear deck.

Ran boat today and checked raw water lines for blockage. Mine does have intake on port side stern. There is a shutoff but no strainer/filter. Pump runs, but little water goes to livewell. I am thinking about rebuilding this pump rather than purchasing a new one. If I decied to go new, are there other brands that will give longer life? Thanks Greg
