Well I was hoping to have my new Montauk on Texoma by the 12th but pate Plastics is on delay for their tanks and it could be until the end of August before that gets shipped. Something about resin on back order. Just in time for Labor Day.

So, If you are looking at their tanks and think that you are going to get one in a few weeks, plan for a delay.

The only bright spot is that my engine had the wrong prop on it when we did the sea trial. I could not get the boat into the 5000-5500 rpm range. The dealer would need to spend the money on the right Alum prop anyway, so the dealer is going upgrade the prop to a SS Laser II at no charge to make up for the tank SNAFU.

Anyway, just a heads up on the tanks from Pate.

NEW Montauk, wrong prop???? That would be BW's problem.
Something is fishy there.

DO NOT GIVE THE DEALER ALL THEIR MONEY. I'd hold back $1K
pending prop and tank delivery.

Chuck,

I only put down $1k on the deal. The rest is held back until I am satified with the boat/motor and delivery.

Minitauk85,

As for Pate I have not been able to find their web site. After searching on Google, the only contact I could find is...

Pate Plastics Inc
(305) 754-0896

360 NW 71st St
Miami, FL

I also found an article (March of 2004) on installation of a 24 Gal tank that may help.

Pate doesn't have a website. Just call them.
