Just picked up my new Montauk and am awaiting tomorrow morning's maiden voyage. thanks to recent CW topics, I think I'm prepared for tomorrow - docking, pulling up the motor before trailering, having a beer ready - good or bad, etc. any advice before tomorrow's first outing?

take your time while docking.
find which way the wind is blowing and use the wind to get you to the dock.
Take it in and out of gear and go slow.

I just picked up my 2006 Montauk Friday. I love it!
I put on over 200 miles in 3 days. My eyes are really dried out from all that wind.

My pate tank is sitting here in my office now.

I will install it this week

I still was able to go almost 80 miles on the two six .5 gal tanks that came with my boat.

Docking is a little trick as compared to my old 2 stroke yamaha powered montauk.
