I`m looking for a chair for my elderly father to use when we are out in the nantucket fishing in calm weather , drifting or slow trolling. I`d like to set it up on the anchor locker with the bow cushion removed or move the cooler and set it there but closer to one side or maybe, if there`s room between the leaning post and stern .NOT to be used when underway
The nantucket stern seats and its backrests are too low and not very comfortable for him. I have the leaning post so there`s no supporting helm seating.
Does anyone have an opinion on the Garlick 48115 fishing chair with swivel base and 4 leg frame or the Garelick or Wise folding chairs (or others).
I know some here have mounted a dauntless fishing chairs and bases at the bow or stern and may want to do something like that too at some point but the Garlick chairs are larger and more comfortable with armrests.
Is Garelick the OEM for the nantucket chairs and vinyl? Their hardware is on the leaning post. I wonder if the vinyl on their chairs matches Boston Whaler 2004 models
There are no local supplies so I`ll be ordering from one of the websites stores. Thanks , Ken

We have 2 Garelick folding deck chairs in our big (non-whaler) boat. They are very comfortable and sturdy. I mounted a gimble on one to use it as a fighting chair. My only complaint is the vinyl quality. We also have Garelick pedestal helm seats that have much nicer vinyl. I'd look them over in person before buying. good luck
