You don't have a choice on a new 150 Sport any more. Mercury has discontinued the carbureted 2 strokes Whaler used to offer as the base motor on the 150 Sport. You can probably find a 2005 leftover 150 Sport with the now obsolete 2-stroke at a significant discount. We opted for the 4-stroke and love it... perhaps a mph or two slower, but a lot better fuel mileage at part throttle, smoother idle, no worry about fouled plugs, etc.

There was still a choice on two left over 2005's. Thanks I will choose the 4 cycle.
