I got two 19-foot Boston Whaler boats from the military surplus. Taken the deck off one and there is no fuel tank. Boats are very rough. Molded glass cap rails. Transoms cut for single engine. Looks something like an Outrage. Obliterated s/n. Any ideas on what model? Guardian?

It's either a Guardian or a Raider, both based on the classic 18/19' hull. Many here in the forum have bought these surplus craft and much prior discussion exists in the archives if you wish to do some research.

Seems to be a stout boat. I noticed that a GUARDIAN that size will take a 150-HP motor. I'll put the OptiMax on one and see if that will push it. Someone said the mil. spec boats had a heavier layup. It is still drying out upside down. They must have sat in Pearl harbor for years with open wounds.I can get an older 200 evinrude for the other. We do marine contract work here in Hi so they'll go into our fleet.[2 17's 1 22 and 1 25'] work boats.

Shame all those whalers hulls stacked up like match sticks here in Hawaii - just rotting away until they get to a gov auction.
