I really like the way the boat looks withOUT the stripe but I kind of hate to make it non original. What do you think?
I could always put the stripe back on later at a cost.

I like the stripe, and always thought it was neat the way they put the model name in the stripe. Then again I had all the stripes off my Revenge and didn't like the look, I did do the cardinal sin of Whalers and put on blue stripes and even went so far as to incorporate the harpoon in my hull stripe. My registration numbers and boat name is at 22 degrees to match the Whaler logo, which I did leave red! Oh yeah, Nice Boat! I love the ski picture, not sure if I trust my skiers enough to do that!...............Jack

I have different numbers that pretty closely match the whaler logo.
The ski picture was taken by me with a $7 fuji waterproof one time use camera from Wal-mart. My wife is driving and my son is observing next to her. If I would have dropped the camera it floats, not a big loss is I can't find it. I've used several of them with good results.
I think the boat looks bigger without the stripe. At least more freeboard. Or the illusion of more freeboard.

It's not a post classic without the Harpon Stripe... I like it with.
