[What is the quality of the trailer supplied with a 150 MONTAUK?]

I inspected my new 150 Montauk on Sunday and was impressed with the trailer. I was expecting a cheap piece of junk, not so it looks good and sturdy.

Hi Dick. Thanks for your reply, it seems to me the wheels seem to be a bit on the small side?, it looks like those trailers are galvanized which is a good thing. I'm looking at day trips with 170 mile drives on the highway, no off road stuff. Will that give any problems?

I didn't check the wheel size but I am guessing 13-inch; shouldn't be a problem. I sure am anxious to get it picked up.

If they are the same as on the 150 Sport trailer, which is a Karavan, they're 530/12 tires, on 5 bolt galvanized wheels.

It is likely that they are the same trailer. After thinking about it the tires were a bit narrow to be 13". If they are 12" I don't have a problem with that. Should have looked closer.

The trailer is of good quality, although I have issues with mine. I have a 150 Sport(2004)with the same Karavan trailer. I am bringing the trailer to a repair shop tomorrow to have all new wiring installed. Seems as though there is a short somewhere - sometimes the lights work, sometimes they don't, and sometimes a few of them will work. I think the wiring harness was defective from the start, but I can't prove it. Or perhaps I pinched the wires in the swing-away tounge - which is really a great feature. I believe the tires are size 13.....

I have the 150 Montauk and trailer. I have taken it on a 1,200 mile trip and will be doing the same trip again in a few weeks. In my opinion the trailer is perfect and sturdy, but I would have liked to see 13-14" wheels with radial tires. So far, the bias ply are fine but I will look into upgrading the size after the tires get a little more worn.
