I have noticed that I have a recurring problem with a small area of fiberglass damage on my keel, approx. 1-2 feet back from the water line behind the bow. I load & unload off the trailer on a fairly steep marina ramp. It seems like the keel is hitting the front trailer crossbar (the keel roller is mounted behind the crossbar). I am planning on installing a keel rub pad on the front crossbar similar to the one on the rear crossbar. Has any Nantucket owner noticed a similar problem? I also recently installed a 3M Keel Protector.......6 inches wide X 7 Feet long.

No, I have not had that happen. I could see if it were an unusually steep ramp that might happen. You better add a roller there. I installed the keel protection like you did. I stopped it at the base of the first strake and ran it back far enough to provide forward protection.

Sounds like you should get a couple of friends to load the boat while you watch the keel. Most likely you just need to put the roller support to the back side of the cross brace.
