Our 24gal livewell/bait tank on our 305 is obviously fairly small for offshore trips out of San Diego. I was wondering if anyone has figured out what the best maximum amount of bait (sardines) should be put in the livewell. We've tried full scoops and 3/4 scoops and still seems like too much. I'm worried about running out of bait but I figure maybe less bait will mean less will die and even out in the end. We rigged another exterior 28gal bait tank that sits on the swim step (right outside the transom door) that works well to add to our total capacity. Any thoughts or advice are appreciated!
