I noticed that there is a back rest on the 19 Montauk that slides into the rod holders behind the livewell. Are these rod holders the same dimensions as the rod holders on the 19 Nantucket's leaning post and are they interchangeable?

No, The 190 Montauk has a much wider spread. You may be able to get the same type backrest that was used on the 180 Dauntless prior to the flip up used today. It was a closer match.

Mr Zamboni-

I have a Birdsall rocket launcher/leaning post with a large integral storage tub under the seat on my Outrage 22 with which I replaced my original BW leaning post. I opted for the folding backrest at the bottom of the page that has posts that slip into the rodholders. Whaler fabric on both, and they are both superior products.
