A short video of a chilly day on Smith Mountain Lake Virginia in the Nantucket. Boat now winterized and tucked in until April. Best to all!

Thanks for the video, that was fun.

How is your little kicker mounted?

Yes, good to see a Nantucket in action.

I second the "whoo-wee!" Took a look at the other pics you have up, and the canvas looks great. My husband screams whenever I suggest it, because it would really get in the way of fighting a fish. I think it looks like the best place in the world to take a nap, though! :o)

Hey H & D,
Two pictures to show how the little 3HP kicker is mounted. The mount has been around our place for years and has been used on a couple of small sailboats. I can not remember where it came from. It is plenty strong for this application but anything bigger, I would go with a panther bracket. I had a panther bracket on the boat when I had an 8hp Honda, but that was more moter than I needed. I use the 3HP strictly as a get me home motor. It will push the Whaler along at about 5 knots. I carry an extra gallon of mixed gas in a small can and leave the can in the motor well when we are out and about.

Beth,
The canvas quickly and easily folds down and out of the way. You can fish all you want. We do. It is a nice dressing room and nap cave!

Now who said 4-strokes were quiet ??

Great looking rig, I thought you Virginians could boat all season?

We can boat all season. Sometimes I can not control myself, rip off the cover and hit the water in February. It DOES get pretty cold here, though.
