I have been looking at a 2002 22 Dauntless a couple of times and have yet to take it on a sea trial. How do they ride?

[What are the] negative aspects of this design? What is a fair price for 2002 Dauntless 22 with a Mercury 200 with less than 150 hours, a T-Top, a dual-axle trailer, a GPS, a stereo, and a fish finder? Any other feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks, Josh

I have one and really like it.

It is a great family boat.

It needs trim tabs because it is a tad stern heavy.

They are on my todo list.

Research the engine at the dealer for recalls, work, etc. The optimax from those years were optibombs. Mine is on the third powerhead.

Great boat and I love mine.

Price? low to mid thirties I would guess.

look around or something close to that for a better sense of the market for them.
