WT	posted 07-02-2007 08:48 PM ET (US)         Has anyone heard any news of the 2008 170 Montauks having taller center consoles? A main complain of older 170 Montauks is that the console is too low. If this is true, I wonder how much it will cost to upgrade to the newer console? Warren
Barney	posted 07-02-2007 09:03 PM ET (US)             If they do that they have to raise the bimini too. My brother-in-law hits his head on it. Me, I'm fine with both bimini and console. I'm a Neanderthal. Jim
swist	posted 07-03-2007 08:12 AM ET (US)             It is a little low, but that never bothered me. If they raise it, the boat/trailer will no longer fit in a typical garage.
Casco Bay Outrage	posted 07-03-2007 06:31 PM ET (US)             From what I see at the dealer, the boat rides pretty high on the trailer and the bunks are welded. A different setup and could solve this.
bosco	posted 07-13-2007 06:40 PM ET (US)             I was told yesterday by a MarineMax rep the 2008 17' Montauk was going to have an "updated console". Take that for what you will. I asked what exactly that meant, but the rep was not exactly forthcoming with info -- probably because what he had was pretty limited. I'll definitely be waiting until '08 at least.
