I have a lift for my 17 Montauk, but need to install a set of 4 PVC guide posts that keep the boat centered while you are putting the boat on the lift.
The lift for my 285 Conquest has the large 10ft guideposts. Overton's has them, but they are heavy duty and much bigger than I need for this aplication. I needed a set of 4 guide poles about 6' long each that can bolt on to an I-beam that is 6" x 3.5".
Anyone know of any websites I can find these on? I have looked with no success.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

By the way, forgot to tell you guys that we picked up an 85' Montauk 2 weeks ago. It has a 99 Johnson 90 hp motor. It's a fun rig! I guess I'm liking these Whalers. With the 83' 13 Whaler, the 85 Montauk and the 98 Conquest, the docks getting crowded.

Take it easy,

Brian

How about trying the guide posts installed on Trailers?

There are commercial clips for pipeclamps etc that attach to I beams, in UK one company is called UNISTRUT i'm sure there is a US equivilent, you may find what you want there as a DIY solution

Try Lindapter of North America they do flange clamps that hold U bolts and so your guide poles to I beams.

You would then only have to source PVC coated tubing I presume around 2" Dia x 6' long
