bluemoonfish	posted 01-11-2008 04:12 PM ET (US)         The fuel tank in my 1993 Boston Whaler OUTRAGE 21 started daily leaking about 0.03-gallon. [I] pulled the tank this week, and [the fuel tank] has corrosion at the bottom contact points where it rested on strips of rubber and around the upper sides where it was foamed in. [Seeks others who] had experience good or bad with repairing an existing tank.
btb	posted 01-11-2008 06:22 PM ET (US)             I just replaced my 1991 tank. Had similar leakage points due, as I found when I cut the tank open, to water corrosion eating away the welds in one place. I didn't hesitate; a new tank for me.
