It has been identified here before, however, has anyone found a solution to this problem ? Aside from hull fenders and non-metal fishing boxes, not much I can stow that won't corrode or mildew.

I have had my 190 Montauk for a few months now and I have been meaning to post a review and some pics but I haven't gotten around to it.

As for under the seat, I put down a layer of Dri-deck and it works great. Any water that runs under there doesn't really contact the gear. I store life jackets and some misc stuff in there, so far no mildew. I am in Southern California and my boat is stored covered outside, so that might make a difference. If I remember, I try to prop that seat and the anchor well open during storage to circulate air.
