Wetted at last, no not by the man cleaning it, this was after our first test run today.

Just tried it with the stock 19” Viper prop and got 5200 revs and 42mph with full tank and 2 adults so should do better when they swap it for a 17” and get near the 5500 rpm

Bennett trim tabs (M120 sports) on order as suggested

It cost me USD136 for 80 gallons here and USD120 to fill up with 1.8 gallons of XD100 oil, something wrong there.

Regards
Steve

Steve,
Glad to see she is finally in the water. Do not forget to remove the drain plug from the rear.

Here’s a selection of fish that’s on offer here in UAE

http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/6349/image6fq6.jpg

and as of today’s news 2 small groups of killer whales were spotted just of Abu Dhabi, a rare sighting.

Found a shop that had some Tiger outrigger fittings so may get them rigged, surprised there was not a starter kit from TACO/BW.

Already had 3 Abu Garcia small boat reels from the UK 2x6300 and 1x7500 and got a small Penn reel 220 GTO, spooled them up with 30lb test.

But no rods yet, one good store had completely sold out last week of Penn rods so someone is going mad here for fishing

Groupers are suppose to be the easiest to troll for this time of years so maybe next week after coast guard inspection and permit.

Surprisingly the easiest thing was getting a fishing license (takes residence visa and passport copy plus USD30) it could all be done on line and is couriered to you.

Steve,
Learn to fish for Grouper trolling and bottom fishing. Both techniques will yield good results depending on conditions. Ask the "old salts" at the marina how they do it and soon you will be enjoying some fine tasting grilled fish.
Good luck,
Jordi

Thanks, fishing out here is very diffeent to the cold waters of UK

Slight problem on translation with old salts as they tend to speak Arabic

But one chap has pointed me in the right direction and just out of the harbour mouth and off the main port shipping lane thats been dredged recently

So should be safe near the bouys as the water here can be very shallow and lots of sand banks

Rgds
