Has anyone installed a tow pylon or post for water skiing/knee boarding/tubing on an 190 OR? I've being attaching the rope via a harness to the two towing eyes on the stern but the tow rope is getting caught in the wake.

I have seen some products that mount into floor and use support braces such as Swivl-eze ( I have two concerns about this, the strength of the floor and the braces would interfere with the ability to sit in the rear seats.

Any suggestions other than a wakeboard tower would be appreciated.

I have a 2006 190 Outrage as well and have inquired about a ski pylon as well. If you look at the drawing for whaler board placement in the hull there is support in three places in the rear simular to the dauntlas locations. I spoke with my dealer and they contacted whaler. There response was that the whaler board is for a ski pylon but has never been tested and is not available from whaler as such. I was told that it would be at my own risk to install one. I might do it someday.

I have a 2007 Outrage 190, and have the same problem when skiing. My dealer called Whaler, and was told that the factory does not have a solution. If anyone finds an acceptable solution, please post!
