Mills had none they could email me, I'm looking for a photo or 2 of a console and RPS cover for a 170. I've never seen one in person and would like to know how the snaps fit onto the console to hold the cover tight

I should have asked, is the Mills console and RPS cover OK for trailering?

There was some in debt discussion about trailering with the Mills and other mooring covers and the CC and RPS covers also. I wouldn't trailer with the CC and RPS although I'm sure it would be fine. I have in the past used the mooring cover for trailering but after reading the post ( do a search and you might find it)concerning trailering I decided not to use any cover. I keep it at a slip anyway. If go on an extended trip I will not cover.I will admit I wonder about the windshield but that really is the only area that might receive protection with the canvas IMHO. I read something on the Mills site (I think) that the mooring cover is "rated" for 55 MPH winds.

I found the discussion,link below.

Feejer:

Here are some pics of my CC and RPS cover:

The section of the CC cover over the cooler has no snaps down by the bottom of the cooler just the bungee cord under the cooler.

Hope this is helpful.

I'm not sure what the RPS cover would protect you from when trailering, but I certainly use the console cover to protect the windshield, instruments, etc. The Great Lakes cover came with four snaps at the corners. The only place it seemed to be loose was across the back where I added I fifth snap and now it seems quite secure. The fifth snap also has another function for my feeble mind - when the cover is off it tells me where the back is so I can put it on quickly without fiddling with the orientation.

gbcbu-

How are the snaps attached to the console? do they have the standard screw on them?

Yes Just drill a small hole and screw them in. You will use the canvas for lining up where they need to go. Also there are great tricks I learned here on how to avoid cracks around the hole...like use your drill on reverse w/ a drill bit a little larger than the hole you need. Do a search and there is a step by step post.
