Can the [berths] in the Conquest 21 be extended in front of the poti potty to make a larger area to lie down?

If you are talking about the original 21 Conquest the answer is yes. There is a small folding platform that sits in that space and then a cushion filler goes on top of that.

Great!

Is that an option I buy through Whaler? I do not see one on this preowned boat.

I have a 21 conquest that came with that set up. Not sure if it was an option or standard equiptment. The platform can be made if you are handy. Then you will need a filler cushion. If you whant to make one, let me know and i'll send you some picts when I go back to the boat.

Yes, I have this option too. It's a fairly unique system where the athwartships "jump seats" fold done and a bi-fold starboard filler inserts into the space.

This was another selling point to me of this model over the current 205 Conquest.

The insert is standard and part of the oem boat as supplied by Whaler. You may want to contact Whaler the vinyl covering and frame may be avilable as a replacement part.Every 21Conquest I looked at in 1999-2000 when I bought mine had the insert.

Thanks again.

Does this insert double for anything else. Maybe its right in front of me and I don't know it. Where do you guys store it when its not being used.

I checked with Whaler and I can still order it, but it has to be made. Part# 108-9424

I fold mine up and it fits behind the jump seat.

Storage of the insert, as well as the cocktail table that fits aft in the stainless railing is a problem. They are not only bulky, but heavy. A "secure for sea" safety hazard that could do some damage if they get loose.

I therefore store mine at home in the garage when not in use. If I am fishing, I don't bother installing them. I use them for cruising only.

Mine is stored behind the jump seat (neatly and out of the way). It fits snugly and does not move. I have had it there for 7 years now.

When I get mine I want to store it out of the way too. Which seat is the "jump" seat?

"jump seats" is terminology I used to describe the two cabin seats facing each other inboard.

More cuddies should have seating options like this. I really like this feature for my younger children. It's better than them sitting on a flat berth cushion in the cabin, bouncing their heads on the cabin liner when we go over a wake or wave.

Next: The two extra jump seat cushions don't seen to fit in the space in front of the porta potty. Is there a trick, or do I have to order an extra cushions with the insert?
