Hello,
I've a 13" 1969 BW and Im looking for a motor.
I've found a 25 Mercury but I'm not sure if is enough for have good performance. I live in italy and wanna use it on Adriatic Sea.

Someone can help me?

How many people will normally be in the boat? How much gas will you carry? Will you fish, cruise, tube or ski? Tell us more.

I think max 3 adult but usually only me in the boat.
My idea is to go fishing, not for sky and max 3 miles from the coast becose im beginner and mybe is not good to go alone more far from coast...

I've read many post here, and some people say to use short shaft as owner manuas say, but other use long shaft.

Which is the right? Short or Long ?

25hp is plenty and if transom has the notch in it then a 15" or short shaft. Many have been modified or filled in to fit a 20" shaft so there would be no more notch.
