Lots of dealer installed options. I wonder if the dealer has to install them. I'd like to do it myself.

Most options will be available to order from the Whaler website and will be shipped direct to you. The options listed as dealer installed can only be shipped to your local dealer.

Gotta admit - that new style is starting to grow on me.
The new 130 Super Sport reminds me of the old classic Glaspar G3.

Not bad introductry prices either. For the 13 the price is $9995.00 and for the 15 the price is 13,995.00. The 13 ft. price seems especially attractive.

I suspect we'll now have a post-post-classic forum.

I would think there would or could be 2 different & separate markets out there for the old (post classic, old man's boat) and these new hulls particularly with the 150, IMO. So why not have or make both available? We are not talking here about the high end products that Whaler also offers where cost and return becomes the big issue. Just a thought!

They're not necessarily my taste, but they're not all that bad. What does need a lot of work is the Whaler website. Come on, Boston Whaler - the site hasn't been 100% in quite a while. Fix it!

I went to the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show this weekend and saw the new 130/150 Super Sport models. Most options can be ordered online and installed yourself. Some notable exceptions are the bow rail and swim ladder. I guess they want to make sure that safety is first and that it's done right. You don't want either of those things to fail while you're on the water.

I'm still trying to post the pics I took of the 09 BW 130 Sport. Not sure how to do it just yet.

OK, I've got some pics of the 2009 BW 130 Super Sport. My apologies in advance, some of the pics are a bit blurry.

The little guy in some of the shots is my son. He's getting enthused about boating.

That 130 is cheap, cheesy looking and poorly researched and designed.

In addition, it is so urecognizable as a whaler it's actually a P.O.S.

It's only cheesy if you get it in yellow.
If it is unrecognizable to you, maybe you need glasses. There isn't another boat company that makes anything like the 130 or 150, only Whaler. In white, it doesn't look much different from the old ones.

If you don't like it don't buy it. I doubt they made it for just you. You're probably one of those people who complains about all the junk on TV. Hey, you can turn it off, dude.

Actually Whaler listened to its customers. They make 2 boats now that are easily customizable. That's what everyone wanted.
