Hello Everyone,

For those who have read my previous post regarding an improperly setup trailer for my Montauk 190, I think the mystery is finally solved. With the help of both BW and my local Marine Max dealer, it turns out that I believe the trailer was originally set up from the factory for an Outrage 190, instead of my boat. After BW faxed the trailer measurement spec sheet to the dealer, they were kind enough to give me a copy. I took a few quick measurements tonight, and to my surprise, they matched the specs for the Outrage (both models use the same base trailer, but are set up slightly differently).
Anyway, a quick trip to the dealer should have the boat and trailer fitting together like a glove.

The moral of the story: if you have a recent year Montauk or Outrage, the bunks should be very close to the transom. If not, contact your dealer. Most importantly, keep reading Continuous Wave !!

Thanks again.

Hello--You need to locate the original discussion to which you are making reference, then append this article to it.

It makes no sense to give the final resolution of the problem in a separate article, and even less sense if you use a separate article to not give a link to the original article. As it stands, readers of your original thread will not know the resolution, and readers of this article will not know the problem.

Please find the original article and append your recent findings to it. Then send me an email alerting me that you did this and I will remove this orphan thread.
