Well after selling a customized 13 Whaler about 26 years ago I now have two. A 13 foot sport and a 15 Dauntless. I have yet to take either boat out as we have a place near Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and are having them delivered.

The 13 will just be for some local diving etc, however the Dauntless is fully rigged for more exciting stuff. I am a little leary of the power, a 55 Yamaha, but on the other hand it should be easy to beach launch.

Wish me luck fellas and any suggestions or advise on the Dauntless would be appreciated.

That 55 yamaha is what made them famous and is a great engine. I was copied from the old 55 OMC which is another bullet proof motor. You should get many happy years from it. I assume you are a tad leary about it being enough power but it should be fine.

Thanks for the response. Yes I was a bit concerned over the power however we will typically load the boat light with just two guys and some basic equiptment and a moderate load of gas. What I like is the lighter weight as where I live we launch right in front of the house off the beach. I can't wait to get back down there and take them both out.
