Help!

We just bought a new Whaler and a bird left a poop deposit on our non-skid. We tried hosing off the spot as well as applied a relatively light scrub but there remains a stain.

I've heard Bar Keepers is good for removing stains but we do not want to scratch the area. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Boat cover has been on order and will arrive this week.

Thanks.

Try the good old car wash pressure hose. Works every time without all the drama of buying cleaners.

DO NOT use a high pressure sprayer. Their is a good chance you'll tear up some non skid gel coat.

Use this http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/producte/10001/-1/ 10001/34030/377%20710/0/deck%20cleaner/Primary%20Search/ mode%20matchallpartial/0/0?N=377%20710&Ne=0&Ntt=deck%20cleaner& Ntk=Primary%20Search&Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&Nao=0&Ns=0& keyword=deck%20cleaner&isLTokenURL=true&storeNum=33&subdeptNum=34& classNum=34

All:

Thanks for the suggestions. We'll try the Starbrite.

I've used a cheap electric Husky pressure washer (around 1500 PSI max) on nonskid and it works great. I keep it on the lowest power setting (fan) and hold it a good distance away from the nonskid. YMMV...

Feejer:

We tried the Starbrite, took two scrubs, bird poop gone.

Thanks for the tip.

Glad that worked, for stubborn stains and dirt I'll wet the deck, put on some starbrite, rub it in and then let it set for 5- minutes. Go back and scrub and rinse. The stuff always works

I've had good luck with Davis FSR Fiberglass Stain Remover.

You might be surprised what straight white vinegar will do for bird/gull droppings. Let it sit for a bit, slight scrub and rinse.
