I was reading with great interest the posts about water pressure guages not working on late model Montauks. Shortly after reading those posts mine stopped working. However, last weekend when I went out it was working again, and seemed to be performing better than ever.

I assume this is a good thing. Any speculation on what happened?

Mine does the same thing. My theory is that it gets internally clogged, then unclogged at random times. My pressure gauge stayed clogged for an entire year, then mysteriously started working one day this past spring. Has worked fine ever since.

I do know that the connection where the hose attaches to the motor can get plugged up at times.
I always run in salt and flush out after every use. It still clogs up once in a while.
A couple of trips ago, my psi guage did not work. I suspected it got clogged again by sea salt. Just didn't have enough time to unclog it. Next trip out, it unclogged itself.
