Looking to find information on 1996 17-foot STANDARD. I would like to know how many were manufactured between 1996-2000. I would also like to find some printed literature. I can't seem to locate anything. Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated. |

As far as I know, Boston Whaler has never published information on the production volume of their boats. You might inquire with Boston Whaler customer service about a particular model for a particular year or range. Specifications for most Boston Whaler boats are given in http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/specifications.html If the boat you're interested in is not listed, you can likely get the information from Whaler. They are quite cooperative with telephone inquiries on such things as this. |

Printed literature from 1996 is most likely now in the hands of collectors or in musty boxes in someone's basement. You might try advertising in MARKETPLACE. Also check your local dealer. Maybe someone there is a hoarder and has a few old catalogues. |

Thanks guys for your help. I emailed Chuck Bennett, he couldn't tell me how many were manufactured from 1996-2000. He did forward me some info which is greatly appreicated. Thanks again |

I doubt that many were sold. Isn't that the sit-down model with the funny off-color Desert Tan gelcoat? During those years, BW was pushing the white Montauks with black trim. |

Try buying Tom Clark's Boston Whaler Catalog collection on CD. I don't believe it has production numbers but it surely has the catalogs, parts lists, options for the years you're inquiring about Pat |
