sosmerc	posted 03-19-2010 10:31 AM ET (US)         Yesterday I had to be in the "big city"--Seattle--to take my wife in for her annual service. So afterward she let me visit the local Sea Ray and Whaler dealer on Lake Union. They had a nice display of small Whalers. I have always been smitten over the 15. But the new 150 SPORT is very impressive. It's a much larger boat with more usable space, and the deck appears to be self bailing, though only one hole through the transom. I was hoping to see the new 150 SPORT with the tow arch option, but they haven't ordered one yet with that factory option. Anyway, even my wife agreed that "my" next boat could be this one. That means, it's up to me if I want to sell my Ventura 18 and downsize to a 15. By the way, I did confirm that Whaler is no longer making the Ventura. I guess that means my Ventura is worth a whole lot more--right? :)
