Has anyone installed an autopilot on their Conquest 235 with Verado power? If yes, what model did you go with? Did you have any gliches occur during the installation process?

Look at :

Raymarine X-10 system
Garmin GHP 10 with 2.1 pump
Simrad AP24 w/ RPU 80 pump

all straightforward installations for Verado/Whaler

all approx 3K with 1200 labor to install.

The raymarine system is a simple drop-in for the verado. IMO a no brainer. Price is steep :( If you are running Ray electronics the connection is completely seamless. My guess is that to make things simple you should go with your nav system manufacturer.

BTW I ran the raymarine autopilot wizard for the 235 verado system. Costs are $3804 PLUS installation. OUCH!

Perhaps anyone in the Southeast, not here in the Great Lakes. I don't live in near a population center, so our local marina guys have a captive audience. WisEd, I have a Garmin 4208. Quote for the new Garmin Autopilot was just under $4000.00. Guess I won't fish alone! Thank you for your input and responses.

I've been considering it too. First I need to figure out how much fishing I'm going to get to do to see if its worth it. I guess it would also be nice for long voyages, but I'm sure those will be few and far between for me. Hey I'm still figuring out how to set a course plan on the GPS! Time will tell.
