Has anyone a copy of the owner's manual for a 1999 Boston Whaler Outrage 23? [I] just bought this boat the other day and the owner didn't have any manuals for it. Any help would be appreciated.

I hope you are able to find the manual. I also hope it is a better manual that the one I received with my 1999 Dauntless 16. If not, it will be pretty useless. My manual seemed to be more concerned with avoiding any legal issues after the sale of the boat.

There was plenty of safety information but little else. The manual seemed to me to be based on "boiler plate" rather than on providing useful information.

The manual on my recent purchase of a 190 Montauk was far more useful.

If your manual, once you get it, lacks much useful information at least Whaler has now made a ton of model and year specific information available on the net.

Enjoy that Outrage.

I have the manual, it's basically useless. General boating information, nothing very specific to the 23 OR. The manual is on the boat, I'll bring it home this week and take another look and if you are interested we can set something up.

I second the above comment. My dad's '98 23 Outrage manual is very uninformative. The manual for my '87 Montauk is a wealth of info in comparison. I can grab it and scan it for you (if I can remember next time I'm on it) if you want.

That is crazy. Some of the newer manuals give you the boat schematics, parts list and floor plan. There is a few things on the boat that I am not sure of how to use and I thought it would be quiet useful. I tried to order one part for the boat through the dealer and it was outrageous. So I find an alternative and got lucky that is was the same part a hell of alot cheaper lol

Sounds very much like the owners manual for my 1999 23 Conquest. Very generic and useless in boat details.
I use Boston Whalers website for parts -

Went down to the boat today and reaffirmed that the the manual is as useless as i remembered. Nothing specific as to OR mechanics, plumbing, electrical, parts etc.

For any part of a Boston Whaler boat that is not a specialty item actually made by Boston Whaler themselves, I am certain that you will find buying the part directly from the original manufacturer via the usual distribution channels to be cheaper instead of ordering the part as a Boston Whaler part though a Boston Whaler dealer. This is nothing unique to the Boston Whaler company or the Boston Whaler dealers.
