I was cleaning out my boats under seat storage area and noticed the large amount of mildew that forms due to the water thats seeps under the seat when you wash the deck down.

I decided to seal both the outside and inside deck areas with white silicone around the bottom of the seat and I can say that my mold problem is gone and the area inside is high and dry. For a boat of this cost this should have been done at the factory, would have taken them all of 10 minutes!

Fred,

It is annoying! I've been using DriDeck almost from day one. So far all is good. No doubt the cover helps and I park with the bow high.

I thought about doing the same thing to mine.
Have not gotten around to it yet.

I don't know if it's useful, but if you seal the base of your RPS it might be a good idea to prop the cover open just a bit for ventilation and light. Mold hates both.
