I'm looking for a trailer for a 190 Montauk and just can't afford to get a new one right now. I found a used trailer on craigslist. I think it's at the minimum as far as capacity goes but will the boat fit on this trailer?

Any help is much appreciated.

Rick,

Looking at the photos with the ad and the dimensions provided it appears the trailer is too narrow and too short for your 190. It may be possible to move the winch post forward a foot plus or minus a few inches to accommodate your 19 foot length but the eight foot beam looks too wide for the trailer. If the PVC trailer guides and brackets are removed it may work for you. The next issue is the space between the bunks and fenders. If you're interested in following up on the trailer let me know and I'll provide the proper space between the bunks and fenders dimension and the dimension for bunk height above the axle, too.

You may be able to get the dimensions from the Karavan web site.

Just FYI, but the OEM Karavan trailer is not supplied with guide on poles. I had them on my last trailer but don't miss them.

Thanks Butch. I hate to spend any money on something that's just not right. I'll keep looking.
