Hi folks. I picked up a 2000 210 Ventura and now that the chill has settled into the northeast, I'm looking to enclose the bimini with the oem side and front curtains.

I'm having great difficulty attaching the side curtains. After zipping them to the bimini, there's about two inches in space between the side curtain and the hull snaps, i.e. the fabric does not reach the hull. It's the same two inch space on both sides.

Any tips or tricks on attaching the bimini front and side curtains?

Thanks!

Sounds like the gunnel rails the Bimini frame slides fore/aft in have been moved. See the picture below.

Thanks Tom. How far back do you place your slides to enable you to attach the side curtains? Currently mine are about three inches forward which aided in me attaching the front visor.

They bimini frame should ne all the way forward to sttach them once attached then reposition your bimini frame towards the back. The other item I mentioned it might be the previous owner physically moved the rails themselves.

It may help to wet the Sunbrella completely before snapping and closing the zipper. It may also help to pull the zipper if you loop round key rings through the zipper pulls for a little extra gripping power. If you can find stainless steel rings they can be left in place. Zipping is much easier with the rings. Once the pieces have been assembled for a few days the process will become easier.

I recommend you not disassemble the pieces if they become wet. Reassembly after they have dried can be very difficult.
