Hello all. I just sold my [2006] 150 Montauk and will be picking up my 2012 210 Montauk. I will be sure to share some photos and my experiences with the new boat. See you on the water--Kevin

Kevin--Congratulations on your new boat I only wish I could spring for the 210, guess I'll just have to hold on to the 190 for now. Great boat you will love it.--Fred |

Kevin ....What engine did you choose? I rode on one last weekend with the new 150 FS. Great package. Congrats you're really going to enjoy your new addition. Tom |

He might have gotten a Verado 150. I was surprised the 210 Montauk at the New England Boat Show was equipped with one. I was hoping to get a closer look at the new 150 Fourstroke. |

I recently saw one with an L4 Verado 200. But I think the boat would be very nice with an L6 225 Verado. The boat is certainly big enough to carry that BIA rating, and that tall Verado would great on it. Even my "small in comparison" 21 Ribside is rated for 200 HP. I would not want a boat that size with less than 200 HP on it, particuarly if it is carrying the Tee Top. |

I have one on order with the 150 EFI. I have tested the boat with all favors and for my purposes the 150 EFI is perfect. Light weight, great torque and and simple to maintain.

We had some sea trials today of the new Montauk. It has the new Merc 150 fourstroke. I was afraid that it might be under powered, but with 4 adults, and 40 gallons of fuel, this thing was quick. The other options on the boat are: SeaStar Steering Sun Lounge Aft Seating Fishing Package T-Top Swim Platform Trailer I'm still picking out the electronics. If anyone was at the Ocean City MD Boat Show several weeks ago, this same boat was on display. I expect to take delivery on the first of April, and I can't wait. Kevin |

ToeCutter, do you remember your rpm's at a minimum or low planing speed with the 150 Mercury fourstroke? JimL |

I meant to add that your experience with this new model Mercury 150 HP fourstroke on a fairly heavy boat will be of interest to a great many of us. I for one am looking forward to your sharing some performance data if your setup comes with a fuel flow meter. JimL |

The new 150 HP Fourstroke is priced between the 150 HP Optimax and 150 HP Verado. I believe you can get it from Ed's Superstore for a little over $10K. |

I put a 150 2010 E-Tec on my 2008 190 and it set me back $12,000 installed although I did sell the 115 Merc for $6,000. Best thing I ever did. |

Is there a need to re-rig the gauges, steering or controls for the new 150 from the 115 2007? Thanks. |
