I recently purchased an 18 Ventura with a three chime rapture prop. The boat is powered by a 130 Honda. I spoke with power tech props and they specified a 4 chime 15 pitch SS. Night and day difference. Has anyone also used Trim tabs on a ventura to help it on hole shots. Other than hole shots it is a great boat.

Trim tabs would probably be a nice addition to an 18 Ventura. The Honda generally does not have the best power to weight ratio but I believe that has improved in the last year or so.

I assume your reference to "chines" is what I would call "blades".

For better feedback re propellers it would be useful for you to provide the specifics as to your Honda year and gear ratio as well as the RPM and GPS speed you are seeing at wide open throttle (WOT). The specifics of your propeller would also be useful.

This is information that the propeller gurus would like to have in order to make an intelligent recommendation to you.

Not chine, chime.

That prop must sound wonderful if it leads to Rapture.

Has anyone mounted Lenco trim tabs to a Ventura 18 is so did you keep them close to the center line or move them out. To clear the swim ladder looks like I need to go with a 12x9, Is this enough tab to push the nose down?
