I thought I was a very good "Googler" and had done a good job looking for the steering wheel cap. However, Kudos to jimh for being the master searcher.
I will look into the SeaStar info for the anodized bezel.

[Where can I buy] a a new steering wheel cap and new steering wheel bezel for a 1986 Montauk [17]? [Please always mention the length or the boat--jimh] The bezel is aluminum but badly pitted.
