190 Montauk New Rear Seats
Went to local boat show and saw the new [Boston Whaler 190 MONTAUK]. It now has rear seats like the 210 Montauk. To do that I think they changed the top of transom to accommodate the brackets for the seat backs. I forgot to take a picture. Good move for more seating. The [price of the new 190 MONTAU...

Re: speed at night
Of course cars shouldn't have headlights. We can spend our time driving at night at speeds that don't exceed our ability to stop when we can see an obstruction. And, really, who cares if other cars can see us as they will also be going slowly enough to stop if we are in their way. Good call. So wha...

Thanks Phil and bottom line, as taught in the boy scouts [more than] 50 years ago--and still true--let your eyes adjust and you'll see more than when using an external light source. On the newer Montauk series of boats, I do not think Boston Whaler designed the Bimini tops to be run with the top in a folded down position. Re: 190 Montauk Bimini Design Failure
As a general rule I would not expect a Bimini top--its fabric or its frame--to be designed to be deployed when the wind on the boat is more than 40-MPH. Note that if you are running at 20-MPH into a 20-MPH headwind, the wind on the boat will be 40-MPH.... if the wind and wave conditions are so bad ...

I would expect to be able to run in 2.5' chop at 37 mph with top down or closed up without damaging the Bimini. In a 2.5 foot chop, I run more like 15 mph in a 23' Whaler. It would seem that running nearly 40 mph would be brutal on both yourself and the boat. Your expectations for the Bimini top ar...

The motor was touted as big displacement for the HP when released. How would you then pump up the HP with the same displacement without contradicting yourself? Not sure if more cubes could be added to that particular block.
