Any reasonable offer will be accepted. It is sitting in my driveway waiting for a new home and needs to go!

Re: 1970 KATAMA 16 Restoration

I am reviving this old thread to post the finished product. I decided to just go resto-mod and make the boat that best fit for what we wanted. Pretty happy with the results so far. Only things left to do are mount the GPS and get a new vinyl on the RPS and cushions for the bow and front bench. Thank...

FS: Center Console

[For-sale for $550 in Wilmington, North Carolina], a console that came off of a 1971 Boston Whaler but the console was not original to that boat. Please text me if interested. 910-352-0814. I believe this console was originally from a Montauk. The Garmin base and light switches are not included. If ...

16-footer: Volume of Paint Needed for Interior: Tips for Applying AWLGRIP

I am painting the [interior of] of a classic 16-footer with AWLGRIP using the rolling and brushing technique. How much AWLGRIP paint will be needed? I am hoping two quarts will be sufficient. The [interior of the 16-footer] already has two coats of AWLQUICK [quick-drying primer and surfacer paint] a...

Remote Engine Shift and Throttle Controls for a KATAMA Console

GIve a recommendation for a remote engine shift and throttle control for a Suzuki DF90 that will fit on the an old KATAMA console. BACKSTORY I am trying to salvage a very, very rough Katama console to put on a 16-foot hull. I am just about done rehabbing. I am trying to figure out what throttle cont...

Re: 1970 KATAMA 16 Restoration

I have hemmed and hawed about the console, mostly because the existing console is better suited for driving while standing up, which is what I prefer. Certainly easier to move around the boat with the center console as well. However, I really like the Katama console look and think there could be som...

1970 KATAMA 16 Restoration

I am new to the forum and new to Boston Whalers, though not new to boating. Since my 13-year-old son's month-long overnight camp was cancelled, we decided to take the camp money and buy an old Whaler for him to work on as a summer project. We located this 1970 17' hull in Maryland and, seeing it alr...
