I believe it is African Mahogany based on grain and color. It looks nice and varnish had only a couple of "holidays" that I will wet sand.

I am currently installing Specialty Marine's 13' Super Sport wood interior kit and side railings on a friends boat. To my surprise, the wood and varnish work is very nice as well as their side railing and fastener pkg. I would have no problem personally using their products
