Thanks Phil. My hoists are rated at 2-tons each they have a chain with a loop at the end which I then connect industrial straps to each hoist independently then to the boat eyes. The straps are nylon and rated for 4-tons each. My concern is more about the potential of damaging my new 170 MONTAUK rat...
