Re: MONTAUK 17 Bimini Top Length

https://photos.app.goo.gl/YotjdpfaAV1MhqdN6 I am uncertain of the length of my bimini but will measure it soon and report back. It is a four-bow model rather than the three-bow bimini tops I see on most Montauks on the water and pictured online. The link above is to a picture of my boat. The photo ...

Re: Source for Wood Components

Bob Latourelle in Massachusetts is a masterful woodworker in my book, and he specializes in classic wood parts for Boston Whaler boats. He can be contacted at (978) 837-8808. I don't find a website for him, but he also can be found on Facebook and for my first order that is where I initially contact...

Re: BRP Announces the new ROTAX OUTBOARD ENGINE

Saw a couple of noteworthy things mentioned in this August 10 article from Boating magazine at https://www.boatingmag.com/boats/brp-unveils-rotax-outboard-engine/ . "A 1.9-liter three-cylinder, two-stroke powerhead is shared by 115 hp and 150 hp versions of the Rotax outboard, with the 150 gain...

Re: Refinishing Boston Whaler brightwork with Cetol products

Thanks, Jim! The Natural Teak was $47 for a quart, and the Marine Gloss was $50 for a quart from Amazon. I still have to finish the new louvered doors and frames and cooler chocks when I get them in a few weeks, but I should nevertheless have plenty of both Sikkens Cetol products left over. I'm hope...

Re: "Sweet Samantha" becoming an Outrage

Hi, Phil. I couldn't find my way back to my account so I made a new one. Sloppy of me -- sorry, Jimh! Just ran across these 2018 pictures of my former boat, which seems to have changed hands multiple times and shed weight in the process since I sold it hastily when I moved from house to apartment in...
