It looks like the 230 Outrage is no more. Smallest Outrage is now the 250. That’s really not ideal but seems to be a trend that the margins must be higher in larger boats. The 220 Dauntless is still there and the Montauk and Super Sport lines seem to carry on though.

Before changing your seating arrangement try the intermediate position of the backrest. I don't know about a Montauk 17 seat but on both my Dauntless 16 and 190 Montauk that position made a very nice leaning post.

I had a good result when removing a piece of Starboard from the transom of a Dauntless 16 which had been mounted with 3M5200. I used a length of multi strand fishing line. I tied the line to a handle at each end and used the line as a saw.

remove the foil appendage from the AV Plate;
raise the engine at least one hole higher;

Check the tachometer calibration. If the tachometer reading is not accurate, then the engine speed could be slower than indicated. Using an incorrect value for engine speed will cause the value for SLIP that is calculated to be incorrect.
