Ive received this error a few times over the past week when selecting to view "new posts" in the "quick links" - Its always referencing the same user - Thought you would like to know.

The error is caused by bots. I am working on a solution.

It is getting much worse Jim. It takes me a half dozen tries to open a thread. When I post a reply it does it too and then I lose the content. Any updates?

This now rather old thread reminded my of the battles I was having with promiscuous bots from China attacking the website. To combat this I decided to modify my hosting arrangement to include use of HTTPS and to be behind a firewall. The firewall provides the ability to eliminate geographic regions from accessing the website. China and Russian are blocked, as they are the source of most of these promiscuous bot attacks. That is the good part. The bad part is my cost for hosting more or less tripled.
