In any posting asking for advice, please provide the following information:

--the model year or production year of the product using FOUR DIGITS, e.g., a 1997 not a '97;

--for boats, the manufacturer is assumed to be Boston Whaler; for advice about non-Boston Whaler boats, use another website unless there is some very strong connection to Boston Whaler boats;

--the model designator, such as OUTRAGE, DAUNTLESS, SPORT, a Mercury OptiMax ProXS, an E-TEC H.O., etc.;

--the length of the boat as described in the model designator, e.g., OUTRAGE !8, VENTURA 20, 220 DAUNTLESS, or the horsepower of the engine, or some other attribute that clearly identifies the specific product.

--give dimension units with full words like inch, feet, meter, millimeter, degree, Ampere-hour, and so on. Do not use punctuation marks like an apostrophe, a double-quotation mark, or an asterisk as indicators for the dimension unit.

If you want readers to respond to a question, please be sure to ask a question. Do not give a long list of events or circumstances or hunches and then expect readers to deduce your question. Please just ask a question in a simple and easily understood manner. Indicate the sentence with the question by ending it with a question mark.

Please do not use question marks to end sentences which are not questions or insert questions marks in parenthesis to indicate uncertainty.

Please do not ask if readers have any thoughts. I am certain that all readers have thought. Instead, please ask readers a question if you want them to answer a question.

Please do not initiate surveys of knowledge or experience. A survey question usually begin, "Does anyone know..." or "Has anyone ever..."

Please do not use repeated punctuation marks. One punctuation mark is all that is needed.

Please do not mark every sentence with an exclamation mark. Not every sentence can be an exclamation.
