c.2016 E-TEC 200 G2: Identify Several Electrical Connectors; Missing Part

Postby Wellcomet » Sun Mar 30, 2025 2:13 pm

I bought a 2016 Evinrude E-TEC 200 G2 for repairs.

Q1: what should the several electrical connectors shown in Figure 1 below be mated to?

Q2: what part is missing?

I have no knowledge but perhaps a fuel flow monitor was there.

Obtain the appropriate Evinrude factory Service Manual for your engine. Consult the very large, detailed, color pictorial wiring diagram in the back of the manual. The diagram will show all the electrical connectors associated with the engine.

The service manuals for the Evinrude E-TEC engines can often be found hosted by individuals and available for download.

For example, visit this link.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FUCjrskWyWyHTPsfN7deSyldLf5BXBkYxIUlUg-9u-w/edit?tab=t.0

Scroll down several pages until you find the section that lists G2 service manuals. The E-TEC G2 service manuals are separated into 18 different PDF documents. You should download all 18 sections if you want to have the entire manual.

NOTE: Evinrude does not employ model year designations to identify engine models after 2012. There is no "2016" model of 200-HP E-TEC G2. You need to use the full model designation to identify your engine. Your current identification as "200" is ambiguous. There were two models of 200-HP G2 engines, and they are VERY different engines. Always use the full model designator for the engine. On the midsection of the engine there will be a decal that gives the full model designation.

NOTE: you should visit the website ETECOWNERSGROUP.COM. That website's focus is on E-TEC engines. The SMALL BOAT ELECTRICAL section of CONTINUOUSWAVE.COM only focuses on the electronics associated with the Evinrude engines.
