ICON Pro Gauge Installation Advice

Postby ferdinando » Thu Feb 16, 2017 12:35 pm

I currently have a E-TEC 150, 2010 production-year, model E150DPXIS. As I've always been a fan of fuel meters, my current gauge just died, and has been discontinued. From what I have read the ICON Pro Gauge can give me fuel info and a bunch of other information.

What would I need besides the gauge to complete this installation?

Is it plug and play?

I would change out my current Evinrude analog tach and replace it with a ICON Pro 3.5 which would give me readouts on its digital display.

Any assistance is appreciated. Fred

ICON Pro gauges all work off the ICON Pro RPM gauge. The ICON Pro RPM gauge connects to a NMEA-2000 network to get data from the E-TEC engine. To use an ICON Pro RPM gauge you must have a NMEA-2000 network.

Evinrude ICON Pro gauges are described in detail in an article I wrote several years ago about them in the REFERENCE section. I strongly recommend reading this lengthy, detailed, illustrated article. It gives more information about Evinrude ICON Pro gauges than can be found anywhere else, as it covers the general product information, describes how they function, and shows in detail their installation.
